Guys I've been looking for a parts motor for spare parts and maybe add an electric start for my 85 30hp. I think in 1985 they changed the way the rated the hp. So my question is if I'm looking for a pre 85 parts motor, am I looking for the 35 hp motors?

I just finished mine last week using old street signs. Signs were approximately 1/8" thick. I'm 250 and they hold me fine.

I don't know why the pics are upside down??

My flywheel has the ring gear teeth from the factory, or the previous owner added it? Eyeing it up it looks like my manual cover will fit over the starter motor. Stator and other wiring I don't care about, it'll be on the charger every night.

Guys, 1st post here, but a long time reader. My question is I have a 1981 Evinrude 25hp with electric start that works fine. Then I came across a deal on a great condition 1985 Evinrude 30hp manual start. Will the 25hp electric start set up work on my 30 hp? Thanks
