I like the twins idea, back in the day people would run twin 18's. You can boogie up on speed with the 2 and cruise economically with just using one. I'm looking at that being a hot ride in Alabama, no cut through on the windshield and that hard top will hold in the heat.

Floating in 14" and running in 14" are very different. add at least another 12" on to that unless you run a JET, even then I'd want to add 6" to be safe. IDK what kind of bottoms you fish, but if firm enough you can always get out and push a light boat as long as you've got some water under you.

I think the max rating is 80HP, that should move her along nicely. Just be careful with the overpower. It was fun when I was a kid, but it can cost a lot as an adult
