    Another One! 84 Tracker Tournament V17 Re-Build

Yes, I'll add some hatches for the general storage. Trying to make the original trim work so it sits flush and look good has been the tricky part. The added deck area will house batteries/wiring/etc for everything up front also.

    Another One! 84 Tracker Tournament V17 Re-Build

Sanded the first round, pretty happy with the results so far. Added a 2nd coat in some areas to smooth things out.

    Another One! 84 Tracker Tournament V17 Re-Build

Little more progress on carpet and cleanup today. I really like how thick this carpet is. Also started cleaning up and patching all the console holes and cracks. Using the new Bondo with filler in it, just going to skim the whole thing and sand it down.

    Another One! 84 Tracker Tournament V17 Re-Build

A couple updates. Had to wait a few extra days for carpet to arrive which slowed down my processes. I trimmed a little bit of the insulation to be able to fit a drill between the bottom foam. I used a unibit to drill out the drain holes to 3/4" rather than the 1/4" or whatever they were. This...

    Another One! 84 Tracker Tournament V17 Re-Build

A Little more cleanup of everything, got all the old wiring, console, front under deck storage area wood and supports, along with the random years worth of wiring in the fuel tank area removed. Worked on some more wood trim out and got it all painted up. Cut open the deck for the recessed...

    Another One! 84 Tracker Tournament V17 Re-Build

Little more work done today. Got 2 coats of black oil based paint on the front and wood and floors. I ordered a bunch of stuff on Sunday afternoon, hoping it comes in this week so I can knock out a little bit if carpet to frame the deck extension. Still need to figure out how to add some...

    Another One! 84 Tracker Tournament V17 Re-Build

I havent removed it completely, it kind of flops out of the way enough to mess with stuff for now. I will remove it to fix all the years of screw holes and to mount a new switch panel in it though.

    Another One! 84 Tracker Tournament V17 Re-Build

Got a little progress done after work today with cutting some of the wood pieces. Ran out of light so more to come tomorrow.

    Another One! 84 Tracker Tournament V17 Re-Build

I picked this 84 Tracker up awhile ago, and it has sat untouched for awhile. I built a 14' Mirrorcraft quickly a few months ago to get me into the big lakes, but it's a little small when the lake is busy. I got the boat into the driveway today and started the disassemble and cleanup. Foam looks...

Lots of random bolts/holes, what would you do?

Whatever that is, it ISN'T anymore! Take it somewhere and have someone weld on a new skin, or get a skin made would be the route I would take.

Quick 84 Mirrorcraft Northport 14 Rebuild

Haha, I just old enough to have watched that the John Luc Picard shows. Damn I'm getting old!

Quick 84 Mirrorcraft Northport 14 Rebuild

Got out again Friday. Motor is running great, and having confidence the 2nd time out that everything will work as it was intended made fishing more enjoyable. I'll add some rod storage PVC sleeves into the front deck to clean up the boat a little bit. I also think a small jackplate might...

Quick 84 Mirrorcraft Northport 14 Rebuild

Appreciate the nice comments, I do my best! I tried the same method when I went out last week. I had to get on the trailer and physically push it off while my buddy held the rope to bring it to the dock. I think i need to adjust how the bunks are sitting on the trailer, and make sure...

Quick 84 Mirrorcraft Northport 14 Rebuild

Started to replace the bunk boards today. $6 for a 10' section of gutter at Home Depot. Used a heat gun to get the plastic to bend, came out 7 out of 10. Definitely will do a few things differently on the other side. Just hoping I don't lose the boat halfway down the ramp! 1st time I launched...

Quick 84 Mirrorcraft Northport 14 Rebuild

Do it, better than sitting on the couch doing nothing! It's fun and when you catch fish you know it's because you rehabbed it!

Quick 84 Mirrorcraft Northport 14 Rebuild

I'll post a few here. It started as a fun hobby instead of buying high end and JDM baits for $100 that I would lose, decided to try my hand at making my own. Baits came along way in 18 months, but now they are refined, and I have wakes, crankdowns, and glidebaits. And even a rat that produces...

Quick 84 Mirrorcraft Northport 14 Rebuild

My boat didnt have any foam in the floors. Only along the sides and in the front. All 3 sections had foam inside of the aluminum sheet framing. Personal opinion is, if it hasn't sunk in 40 or so years with what's in it originally, original design is good. All of the sections with foam were not...

Quick 84 Mirrorcraft Northport 14 Rebuild

No I did not, the hull didn't look to have any areas that looked concerning but I did buck 3 rivets at the front bow seam where the boat starts to curve in the V section.

Quick 84 Mirrorcraft Northport 14 Rebuild

Thanks, No idea for added weight, I removed about 20 pounds of dirt and grime, and only replaced what I removed except for 2 8' long 2x2s and 2 2x4s.

Quick 84 Mirrorcraft Northport 14 Rebuild

Sorry for the long read! Atleast there is pictures of fish! 29 day quick build. Told the wife I'm coming home early to take the boat to get registered. She was surprised I actually completed a project with no hiccups or boredom setting in haha. Game and fish inspected the boat, but Illinois...
