    Why the lake doesn't give people back

    I know I'm probably an outlier, but from the moment I launch the boat, I never take my PFD off, never, not even for a second, no matter how uncomfortable it gets.

    Weight?

    I lift weights pretty regularly. I was able to lift my 20 HP Evinrude off the back of my boat, carry it 15 yards to a shed, then a month later carry it back and put it back on the boat, solo. However, it was not a fun time.

    Boat prices

    At least in my state, as soon as you hit 16 feet the regs change. At that point also getting into a trailer size where the trailer will have to be registered.

    Removing Boat to Work on Trailer

    I have literally considered having everything ready, new boards for the bunks cut, carpet ready to go, the whole thing, finding a very quiet launch with a dock, launching, tying to dock, knocking the work out in like and hour, then pulling boat back on the trailer.

    This is what I did. Original manufacturer had used combination of blocks of styro and 2" thick sheets. I thought about using pour foam, but the thought of ever needing to get it out made me use combination of sheets and solid pool noodles.

    I needed 5 feet width for my transom and when you try to get coosa board over 4' it gets insanely pricey was my experience.
