    pvc guide rails

I actually ended up making mine out of 1.5" electrical conduit (EMT) and a couple of u-bolts. They look pretty good and work great.

    Radio Shack Rectifier

The universal rectifier for my motor was about $40 online, which after talking to other people is pretty cheap for a rectifier. The RS rectifier only cost me $3.50 and I didnt have to wait for shipping. I just stopped into my local store and picked a few up. Now I'm keeping 1 or 2 spares on the...

    Radio Shack Rectifier

Hey everyone. I have an old 10hp Chrysler Sailor 250 outboard that I recently I blew up the rectifier on. After doing LOADS of research online I came to the conclusion that instead of paying lots of money on a factory replacement, I bought a 25A, 50V Full-Wave Bridge Rectifier from Radio...

    Motor Troubles

Well guys, I tried the Radio Shack rectifier solution and it worked great! Installation on my mototr was pretty straight forward and I'll post pics & information in a seperate thread as to avoid confusion.

    Motor Troubles

Thanks Rich. After digging into the wiring and thinking about things a bit I realized that when I hooked the battery up before I launched I touched the cables to the wrong side which is probably where the short came from. I saw online that a lot of guys are using a standard Radio Shack rectifier...

    back4more's mini tin - Alumacraft 1232 w/ 5 hp Nissan

It's looking good back4more! Do you cover that cubby-hole in the front where you have the life jackets? One more thing...that battery inside the rear bench storage, is that just a small battery to run your troller or for other accessories? I like the compact size of it. If it has much power to...

    '57 Richline Project

Great job! I had a picture in my head of doing the same type of storage with the middle bench. It's good to see it actually done and functioning! We even have the same fishing seats!

    Possible boat name

I like it! I ended up naming mine Fin & Tonic. It's incredibly refreshing and great in the summer.

    Motor Troubles

Thanks richg99. It looks like it's teh rectifier. I've never had one go out before so this is new territory to me. Does anybody know what would cause a rectifier to spark & flame like that? I do recall that it came from the red (power) wire that goes into the rectifier.

    Motor Troubles

Wednesday I decided to skip out of work early and hit the water for some late afternoon crappie. About 5 minutes after I started my motor it died on me. I double checked my gas lines to make sure they were going the right way (I've done that recently) and everything looked good. I made sure it...

    Random outboard question

Thanks a lot for the tips guys. I'm going to replace that whole line just to be safe and then I'll try taking your advice RBufford & running her a while to see if she kills out. Hopefully it was just some fluke accident.

    Random outboard question

Yeah, I suppose that would have helped. Whoops. It's an older Chrysler 9.9hp 2-stroke with electric start.

    Random outboard question

I took my old lund out on Wednesday and before launching my buddy helped me rig it to go. After backing off the trailer the motor kills on me and I notice that the gas hose is on backwards. After reconnecting it the proper direction I gave it a few pumps until it restarted for a couple of...

    1970 Lund N-14

Got a call from the printer and the reproduction 1970 Lund decals that I had made are all done & ready to be picked up and clean/polish work on the aluminum starts tonight. Hoping to have everything done (along with lots of pics) by this weekend. In the meantime, here's a a shot of the 9.9...

    1970 Lund N-14

Thanks for the link! No major progress on the boat this weekend as I spent most of that time replacing the U-Joints on my Jeep on Saturday but Sunday I drove up north and picked up an older Chysler 9.9hp outboard with electric start. So that counts as progress, right? :)

    1970 Lund N-14

Thanks for the welcome! After having it in the water quite a bit I've realized that it's going to be way too narrow & unstable to actually deck it. Here's teh current plan of attack & wish list. -Repaint the red stripe -I had a local company make me up some custom decals with the original "Lund"...

    1970 Lund N-14

Hey everybody! I've been trolling around here for quite a while now looking at ideas for my little boat, so it's probably about time I started posting! A couple of years ago I came across a darn good deal on an old Lund v-bottom so I snagged it up. There was some major confusion on year/model...
