Next Question: Can you paint wood that has been water sealed

Yes you can paint over it, you have to wait a few days after appling the sealer. It should say on the can of sealer how long to wait.

    Upgrades for Crappie.

I have changed the setup from this to two additional bases in the floor. The double seat set-up in the pic is made out of 1.5X2" rectangular tube for the feet, 2" Square tube for the crosspiece, and 1.5" 120 wall tube for the posts. I then used two swivel-eze, bushings in the top of the post. I...

    Upgrades for Crappie.

Yes we use both Minnows and jigs (not as often), I have eight 13 foot rods with crappie rigs (two hooks on each rod), and most of the time two people can't keep up with them. As for the food part, yes we keep and clean them; we fry Crappie as often as possible. We have a 30 daily limit per...

    Upgrades for Crappie.

Looks good, I like the storage compartments too. Here are a couple of pics of my set-up, I'm ready to get back on the water after all this ice, but now that the weather is nice our lake has risen over 11 foot in the last 36 hours.

    Freezing Rain/Ice Storm

I got lucky as far as the wind, didn't have any more damage. Did have a ton of tree damage from the ice. I'll try to post some pics tomorrow. I think about 98% of the electric is back on now in the county. I'm just glad it's over with; we were having two and three house fires a day during all of...

Installing Trim Tabs ( double walled transom)

Can you get to both sides of the transom with no problem, but it's a hollow double wall? If so you could drill a larger hole( just big enough for the bolt heads to go through) in the inside wall and then be able to tighten them up to just the outside wall and the tab.
