threadlocker, loctite, etc. and nylon locknuts?

No need to use loctite with a nylock nut. If you remove the nylock then replace it with a new one. I would use nylocks where you can. Loctite is more for blind holes.

    Project searching

When you are looking for tins what do you type in the search box on craigslist? Or outboards? I get a little tired of looking through a bunch of boats I'm not interested in and hope I'm not missing some that I want to look at. So what's worked best for you?

    Sandy bottom?

You can buy paint at hardware stores with it already in the paint, but only a few colors. You can also buy a small bag of the the sand like nonskid material and mix it in the paint you want to use.

Help on where to place PVC boat guides

You will probably need to put the guides on the the widest point of the boat. If you put them at the back and the transom is thinner the the middle then it will be more difficult. I would put them at the widest point. Pics would help.

Be careful when using starting fluid on any motor, If you use to much you can have big problems. Ether doesn't compress.

I got a tactical backpack from Lapolice gear for 30 bucks and use plano boxes. I bring the boxes that I'm going to use. No use to bring the stripper and sturgeon boxes to get bass or trout. I want to get a backpack that bps use to sell from browning that was made for Plano boxes, But they don't...

    New Member Introductions!

Hello boaters. Nick from Vacaville california. I took my step dads 12 foot boat camping (had to fix some stuff first) and had a way better time fishing than dirt dwelling. All he had was a trolling motor and he wants an outboard and don't blame him it took awhile to get around. Found this site...
