Thanks guys, I finally slid my way thru sending pics from my phone to my email so I could get you a pic of Sadie.

    Wisconsin Deer Hunt

I think I've heard more alibis in the short while they've been talking than Carter has "little pills". You boys are missing a hell of a good time, and some beautiful country. Maybe none of them knows what a deer looks like and afraid they still won't know after coming to WI. HaHa!

    Wisconsin Deer Hunt

Popeye, getting a WI. license is as easy as can be with their online app. center. The first yr. of hunting in WI. is a bargain for nonresidents, since the deer license is half price for "newbies". The regular price is $160 for nonresidents, and as a first time hunter in WI. it's only $79.95. Doe...

    Wisconsin Deer Hunt

You know I'll be back. Like I said, the hunt is about a whole lot more than just getting a deer. Just remember to lose weight before you come , cause you're gonna gain more than you lost when you're at the shack. Nick (Novaman)

    1976 Starcraft Seascamp 14'

Very nice! You did a really nice job with the layout and forethought to get to where it is now. I thought that storage cubby was a grand idea, and You made it look great. Hope You have plenty of time to enjoy it.

    LoweHusky 18' flatbottom

Very nice boat layout and great construction job. Love how simple, to do, You made the camo job and how neat it looks. I may have to borrow that idea in the near future with a little twist ( using an S curved alum. tube). You've made yourself a boat to be very proud of and given others of us...

    Post a Pic of your...trailer?

Here's the trailer I ended up using with my Tracker Grizzly. It's an old Caulkins galvanized unit, that needed stretched to fit and the axle moved back. I added 19" to the length to support the hull clear to the transom. My son and I painted it to match color wise, but used a semi gloss to clean...

    Wisconsin Deer Hunt

Thanks, and thank You Jim for setting up such a wonderful website to be able to share experiences with others. I looked back and forgot to share the one photo that proves there are still deer in northern WI. Nick

    Wisconsin Deer Hunt

I didn't realize I had put so many pictures on at one time, until red letters; said "enough already". So here's a couple of pics of the deer i couldn't get in WI., but came home and killed in IN.

    Wisconsin Deer Hunt

I should've posted this a long time ago, but got involved in several other things like helping a son move and a family illness. Sorry it took so long Hangeye! I was lucky enough to fill a spot at Doug's deer shack in Nov., and had a wonderfully hilarious time. To those of you that couldn't make...

    Light rail

You might try looking for railings from an old pontoon that's either being scrapped,( or one that should be). They will usually have a flange on the bottom to fasten thru, by putting it against the inside of the gunwale and bolting thru it. rather than screwing thru the deck. If You know...

    Adhesive for transducer mount???

I didn't use any adhesive on the board I installed , just 2 stainless 3/8" bolts sealed with 3M4200 sealant. So far no leaks , and no flex, and no problems with FF working correctly. When I put it on the boat I placed ss fender washers on the inside to help spread the load around on the all alum...

Alumacraft 1648 Project - Getting Ready, Again

Now You're making me jealous, it's been 2 wks. since I got out and only caught 1 walleye, and 2 small bass. I've been working on the trailer , that'llk be under the Tracker pretty soon. I've got some pics to gather up for a post under the trailer thread, and I'll be ready for the fall runs on...

    Aluminum Sheet ?'s

I'd definately go with at least .100 thick to keep the flex down. I used .125 in mine since I'm just a little under your wt., but my fishing partner weighs almost 300#, and it supports him great. My Alumacraft 20' has .080 floors and they flex even for me, so IMHO, get the thicker or redo it...

    Custom fabricated livewell?

Hanr3 My livewell was built from a sheet pc. of 5052 .080 alum sheet. I had access to a sheet brake so I made the sides and bottom all 1 pc., and had the ends welded in.. Make sure to a figure out the layout of stuff before cutting, and allow for lips around the top when figuring total blank...

    Canopy/Bimini......maybe a total enclosure

This is on a slightly bigger scale than a 1648, ( although I've already measured my Grizzly 1648 and it would work just as easy) as this is on a 2072, with a 96" beam. I got the idea from a guy here in NE IN. who has a similar setup on a river pontoon. The frame is a pontoon bimini top frame I...

Alumacraft 1648 Project - Getting Ready, Again

That's alot better than just drowning worms  Hope the fish continue to bite for You, no matter what they are. [-o< I know about killin' worms, since the only time I've gotten the new boat out, I only caught 2 nice fat bluegills, #-o I was fishing for walleye with jigs and worms in 24'...
