    Big tins

I'm thinking about going bigger to cuddy in the 19' to 21' range. There are a couple of aluminum Starcrafts for sale loacally. A Chieftain and an Islander. Any tinboaters out there with an opinion on these models specifically, the Starcraft brand or the big tins in general? This would be for...

POLL - Is this a good Deal? Too big of motor?

Looks good to me. I have the same basic setup, around the same year, just different brands. 14' Gregor, 25 Hp Johnson. Mine was rated at 25hp max, and I wouldnt want a bigger motor on it. The 25 seems perfect. I paid $1700 for boat, trailer and motor. I'd jump on your deal if it looked good in...

    Slider g

I've put two of the long size in my 14' Gregor. The ability to have the seat in any position wile on the tiller is really nice. Before putting them in, I was stuck always sitting on the far right. Fishing from that position too. The girl freind was locked into the far left forward. I could have...

Check out my 12' Gregor U-123!

Good looking Gregor! I believe the actual size of the drain plug is 5/8". At least it is on my Gregor 14 footer. Bass pro shop has them under "livewell drain plug". https://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-Snap-Plugs-for-Livewell,-Baitwell,-and-Bailer-Drains/product/8987/39813 These work good...

    Slider G5 anyone use them?

Tim, The seats are standard seats from Gregor boats. I didn't see a weight rating for them. No special reason for getting these other than matching the seats to the boat brand. That and the price wasn't bad. I've seen the big man seats at Cabelas or Basspro, but havn't tried them. They look...

    Slider G5 anyone use them?

Just installed a set of them this last weekend. I like them alot. I have a tiller boat and the seat was mounted on the far right. With my weight, (getting closer to 300 LB by the day), the boat carried a good list to the right. With the sliders I can move the seat around to trim it up level and...

    Bilge Pump Outlet

I ran the outlet hose over the transom. Your right, it isnt pretty, but it works. I like that I can easily see the pump output from my seat then switch it off when it stops shooting water out. -Tom.

    SliderG5 Light Grey Now Available

Here are a few shots of the brand new grey SliderG5's. Installation was easy and and quick. Timewise, both together took about 3 cups of coffee including finding where the drill wandered off to. I brought the boat out for a test drive this morning. I REALLY like being able to slide the seat...

    Hull cleaning

Thanks for the tips everyone. I'm going to try and clean it up, then see how long it stays pretty. If it ends up being alot of upkeep to keep it looking good, I'll look into painting it. nomowork- No step on the transom. -Tom.

    Winch strap question

Bhockins- I see your point and agree with you. I assumed my rear straps would prevent forward movement. They won't. When it stops raining here, I'll try it the other way. Might end up re-engineering the bow stop. Thanks-Tom.

    Hull cleaning

The question of the day is- How do you clean up an aluminum boat hull? I bought a 14' Gregor that came with those white water corosion spots and and tan water waterline discoloration. I'd like to get rid of both. My home body of water is brackish to full on saltwater. Is there anything like a...

    Winch strap question

Feeding from the top or bottom, it doesn't matter. I like it from the top, it's easier to pull slack off of when disconnecting the strap.-Tom

    SliderG5 - New Pricing!

Thoughts on colors... I'm fixing up an older 14 foot Gregor that has a blue-ish/ grey interior coating. The bench tops may get a stained wood finish or a vinyl covering of yet unknown coloring. If I get the SliderG5's, I'm locked into trying to match the interior to them in green. If they were...

Mike, are any other colors an option on these? I'm thinking about getting a couple, but would like them in something other than green. Thanks- Tom.
