I do plan to coat the whole hull. I went around every rivet w/ 5200 today and bought a bunch of rustolem smoke gray indoor/outdoor rattle cans. Gonna self etch prime it, then paint it. It all may come off on her maiden voyage but she/ll look good for awhile. Get a photo op in anyways!

Im in fresh water only. Paint is just for looks. Just to please me. Its gonna have a lot of white poka dots to cover up.

What paint did you use? Ive seen the krylosn fusion. Its supposed to be just for plastics, but the colors arent anything im looking for.

That i did.. Got the ply wood cut out and glued together today. Used liquid nails. It was the only stuff that i could find that was waterproof. Gonna let it set overnight then start on the spar urethane. Thanks for the help.

I have my aluminum floor in the boat and am wanting to use a roll on bed liner kit, but all the diy kits are black. Id like to paint it a light gray, but not sure the paint will stick. Anybody have any experience w/ painting over bed liners?

Im talking about the the corrosion on the aluminum behind the transom bored. I wire wheeled it down to bare metal and then primed it. Will that stop the corrosion from spreading?

What about the corrosion on the transom? Will it keep spreading or will sealing it off stop it?

I cant return it. It was a special order. Asked around today for exterior plywood and none of the lumber yards around here have anything thats not pressure treated. I did luck out though. Called a guy i know who works on boats and he happened to have 2 sheets of 1/2" marine plywood at his house...

3/4" is all i could get. Checked every local lumber yard. Finally home depot said they could order it. Didnt have half inch though. $65 a sheet. Only other place that could get it was $90
