Yes, it's a marine paint for above the water line. I'm painting the inside of my boat white. Haven't decided on the rest yet.

Cleaned the inside, removed any loose paint and used some self etching primer on bare spots. I ordered a couple quarts of Rustoleum topside that should be in today. Started on the front casting deck, ran out of aluminum until this evening when my cousin brings some more over.

I think I'm going to use regular untreated plywood and seal it, paint it and carpet it. It will be stored in a garage so I don't have to worry about excessive water or anything.

I'm at the same spot on my conversion as you are, I don't think you want to use pressure treated for your casting deck. I've read that it can cause corrosion and pitting.

I believe the Critical Defense does the same in my XD40. Not sure because I got rid of them when it happened, don't want to carry it for self defense if they are going to cause a jam all the time.

I carry either Federal Hydra Shok or Speer Godl Dot. Never had a jam or issue with either one.
