Day - Mostly sunny with a slight breeze
Night - Almost a full moon
Well my buddy David and I headed over the parkway this evening to try Chillhowee. This was my first time ever fishing this particular lake at night. Before dark it was tough. couple of bites but I was only able to manage a SM about the size of a minnow. After dark there were w few more bites but not many. We were able to land to redeyes and then I landed my very first Walleye... it was 21" long. I also hooked up on a 16-17" SM right before we left, but it decided the spit the jig in my face right at the boat. We spoke to a couple of guys at the doc while we were loading who had caught several LM and had one over 7lbs. Guess that's what I get for not fishing that lake very much. It was a beautiful night with the moon so bright. Thank the good Lord for the good evening!
