I decked a jon boat a few years ago but I didnt like the way it turned out . It looked good but was not as stable as I wanted . SOLD THAT ONE. And picked this boat up for 150$ . I will be decking this one . Love the site and missed being away from this tinboat craze. Well I'm back and will post more pictures as the project moves forward ....

Ok finally gonna start working on this boat I'm gonna the the seats off and put a low deck on it . If anyone has done this before please help me avoid common mistakes . The only hard part I can see so far is leveling the deck against the unlevel bottom..

What was the width of the floor on your last boat? Was it a Vhull? Width of the floor in the back of this boat?

Small Semi-V's aren't really ideal to deck up front. You might find similar results... That is a very pretty boat. How about a floor? Ideas for a motor? Lighter the boat, quicker it will be!

Six guns my last boat I cant remember the width but it was a sears gamefisher 14ft flat bottom . This new boat has a app..40inch wide floor at the back..As far as motor for now just trolling motor electric for small ponds but maybe a 7 or so later down the road..After some thinking and head scratching Im actually thinking about not removing the seats and just deck the floor between the middle and back seat and put a raised casting deck between the middle and front seat . I am gonna take it out this morning with some boards and test the balance up there..This boat is a truck bed hauler and is just a one man deal most times so I think I will be ok as far as balance but before I get crazy I wanna test it out...
