A couple of years ago I got my cousins boat when he passed away. The first thing I started on was the front casting deck. I used all aluminum angle and riveted everything to the ribs on the bottom. Sorry didnt think to take pictures of it before I started.

Next I cut out the decking and figured out where I wanted the hatches and the seat to be.

After applying two coats of paint to the plywood I carpeted everything for the front deck and the rear bench

I added some inexpensive rod holders, they hold 3 rods and havent given me any problems so far.

I added a bow light for now and was considering running the wires to a switch panel.

After letting the boat sit all winter I realized I had a wheel bearing collapse so I had to figure out how to redo those.

I got the welder at work to build me the trolling motor mount for the minn kota edge 45 my girlfriend got me for christmas and I installed a new lowrance mark 4 hdi on the front deck.

I also had to rebuild the carb on the water, because it was running like crap the first time I took it out this year.

The girlfriend and I have taken it out 3 times since and for an 8 hp tohatsu it does pretty good. Anybody with suggestions feel free to give me some input. I think its perfect for the hp limited lakes and inlets we have around here.

I was thinking about using the mini jackplate from bass pro shops. I have a longshaft tohatsu m8b, and my cavitation plate appears to be about 6 inches below the bottom of the transom, does anyone know if the mini jacker can be positioned to bring it up to where it should be?
