Wanted to share a conversion i did. Worked on it all summer, and finished it before school started. Boat was given to me, engine was a 60hp '99 mercury that needed a new prop and some work done to it. For the trailer, i believe its a '97 shorelander that i put new tires and replaced the bearings on. Gutted the boat, removed all the old stuff, put over 150' of angling and coated the floor and sides with grizzly grip. Ran all new wires and fixed the gauges on the console. Cleaned out the old gas tank and put new aerator, bilge, ect. Got 3/4" plywood for the decking and 3/8" for the sides, coated everything with 3 coats of sparurathane. Predrilled all the holes, so I could seal them when i coated it. For compartments, I used angling flat that was screwed into the deck and wrap around hinges. Used cabelas premium carpet, with all stainless hardware (staples, screws, ect). Mounted a 101 maxxum pro with a comfortroll tray. Also put in a 4 bank dual pro charger.
