I recently aquired a 1958 Sea King 14ft and wanted to post it as I know of all the appreciation and present across this forum for tiny boats. I have replaced the transom and the wood on all three bench seats. I have two cast aluminum cleats to replace and then it’s time to figure out something about the paint. Last year before I knew anything about the boat I spray-painted it with the green that is on it now and I am thinking I would like to have the aluminum finish look instead. But that would require an awful lot of sanding unless anyone has any tips or suggestions otherwise. If it’s going to be too much of a pain then I will just paint it a different color again any and all advice, tips suggestions etc. are welcomed. Thanks guys.
