1964 Mirro Craft rebuild - The Rebecca Lynn

Just purchased a 1964 14' aluminum V-Hull, Mirro Craft, series D for my Cub Scout Pack and I am in the process of refurbishing it to "Like Nused". After recieving the original catalog, I found that it still has remains of the original paint. I was going to paint it blue and gold for the cub scouts but after seeing the catalog picture decided to stay true to the original color scheme of turquiose. I have found a local decal maker who is willing to reproduce the original Mirro Craft decals for me. This is a scout powered boat so there will be no motor add on. It isn't fancy but it's something the cub scouts will have fun with.

First order of business was to scotch pad and steel wool old yuck off of bottom and remove all of the rusted hardware.

After a good scrubbing, we ripped out the old seats.

After debating about how to rebuild the seats, I was given an old douglas fir bleacher seat from our local county rec department. I had a roll of aluminum trim coil that I used for the flotation cavity under the new seats.
