So I have my johnboat to keep me fishing in the mean time so I got a new project the other night. It needs some tlc but seems to be in decent shape. It's a 1970 Starcraft Mariner 14 ft. I took out the floors and bench seats that were in it. Getting ready to power wash and then get to work.

I'm going to replace the transom first and then get some gluv-it and do all the interior seams. Then prep and paint. I have no real dead-line with this being as I'm still fishing whenever I can, so this is going to be a long on going project. But the end result should be worth it. By the time I finish my daughter will probably be at least 2 and a half probably 3 (she's one in 2 weeks) and It will be nice to take her and my wife out and be a little bit more stable.

Welcome to the Forum,
Don't forget to put some floatation back in her! Looking forward to your progress!

yes definitely...PO had nothing in it other then floor and 2 benches...dumby lol. I think im going to go with the pour in foam under my floor and get some noodles in each deck.

your boat is exactly the same as mine! strange, starcraft and sylvan must have shared the same platforms...or perhaps they were the same company a while back...
