Hello everyone. My name is Grant, I'm 23, and I'm from Berrien county, MI. I've been cruisin the site the past couple weeks doing some recon and thinking about what style of Jon boat I wanted to decided on. Well I finally pulled the trigger on a 74 Ouachita 1448. Picked it up for $750 with a $250 credit on an old 12ft vhull sea king that was gifted to me. So $500 total. The guy also sold me a 4hp direct drive evinrude with a new gas tank and line for 25 dollars, LOL! Throughout the next couple weeks I'll be posting more pictures as I complete my to do list. I plan on decking the boat, but haven decided on the plans for that yet. I'm excited to get started on it!
It has a couple cracks here and there, but I have a friend that can weld aluminum so I'll easily get that taken care of.
I think I got a great deal considering the boat along with the motor!
