Can anyone offer advice on how to repair this dent? I think I'll put a rivet where the tiny hole is.

I am thinking of going with 80 grit sandpaper for primer prep. Is that too much?
Two coats of self etching primer, two coats of rolled on paint, plus clear coat is the plan.

PS. I have not yet checked for leaks. Will this plus spray on bed liner on the interior take care of any rivet leaks?

PPS. I found a company that sells factory replica decals so I am really excited about this "little project".

Sincere thanks

That is a pretty good dent, I would suspect that you could use a rubber hammer a piece of wood to slowly pound the dent outward. Hopefully someone on here could give you better advise on how to properly make that dent go away. I say pound it out the best you can and leave the beauty mark for character. We all have a few dents on our old tins.

Oh yes. She will have a beauty mark alright. Rubber mallot is exactly what I was thinking.
