I'm selling a 1976 6 hp Johnson. It's in good condition, and is running well. I've rebuilt the fuel pump and replaced the water pump and thermostat. It also has a new starter cord. It starts easily and planes my 14' aluminum boat with me and my son in it. This model has Forward/Neutral/Reverse and shifts smoothly.

The motor was used as a kicker for a sailboat, and has seen light usage. The top cover is in good shape with a couple of spots that were touched up. The lower section has some paint chipped/missing and could use a bit of a sand and repaint.

This motor is in good condition for its age. There are a couple of minor issues. The tiller handle is missing the rubber grip, but works fine as is. Additionally, there is one screw on the lower extension that has a broken head. There is also a bolt with a broken head on the water pump. Neither of these affects performance.

I'd be happy to answer any questions about the motor. It's located at my home in Upton Ma, 01568. Stop by and we can take it out for a test run. There's a boat ramp about 1/4 mile away.

PM me if you're interested.

Thanks!
