Ok. Bought a 83 17 foot bass tracker fall of 2010. Dont have pictures of mine but I have some of other boats to explain my idea. It needed work when i bought it so last winter i redid all the flooring, carpet, seats etc. Turned out good, used it a couple times last summer but it doesnt function well for me at all. I'm about 6'7" and 290lbs. Everything about the layout is to small. I want to remove the rear deck up to the vertical aluminum plate before the transom. And remove the front deck as far forward as possible. Basically want it as flat, low, and long as possible without affecting the structural integrity of the boat itself. That way I can put seats where I want, storage where i want etc. This is my first post, and would like to say thanks in advance for any help. I know I'd be better of buying a different boat, but I only have about 800 invested in this one, so I'm willing to spend a couple hundred bucks to make it work.

my 87 lowe commander 17ft is nearly the same boat and I've just pulled out the rear casting deck for the same reason, I would simpl,y recommend leaving the front as is, all of the flooring under it is at a slope that is really unusable and with the deck it adds sq footage to the usable space
