Ok, so this is my first time on tinboats and I wanted to share the progress that I have made on my 10 footer. I would like to see what you guys think and any ideas that you may have. So to start i traded my cheap kayak for this jon boat and the 30lb trolling motor. Pretty good deal. When I got the boat the transom boards were completely gone. So first things first. Repair the transom. I did this with 1/2" untreated plywood, carriage bolts, gorilla glue, and 3M 5200. Next I installed a flip up seat. Then I put some headlights and trolling motor mount on the bow. installed a battery box that will later be secured with a deck between the front platform and middle seat. I'm going to put some storage on both sides between the rear and middle seats, then paint and carpet the whole thing. let me know what you think about the whole project and any ideas that you may have for the project.

Where do you fish? Looks like you do some night fishing. I would fish it for awhile to figure out what will make it more confortable for you. I have a semi v 10' and enjoy it alot. I tried a few things and keep going back to simple. There are some really good 10' conversions on tinboats and my favorite ones clean it up and keep it simple.
