1996 merc 8 hp??????

Is this going to push my 14 ft tracker ok? I'm looking at buying it from craigslist and it looks mint in the pics. The seller does not have a tank for me to see it run, is that a big deal? It is a 2 stroke 1996 8 hp mercury. He is asking 850, does that seam reasonable?

If your motor ran as good as this one, you should be in good shape.
I would recommend you see it run before buying it though.

Yes, see it run before you buy. And as far as the price I would do some checking. It seems a little on the high side to me.

never buy anything without seeing it run thats just to much chash to gamle with. The good ole days are long and gone

ask the guy if you can bring a tank and bucket and see if he's hesitant
