Hey guys, alright on friday i am going to look at a 2000 honda 9.9 for my jon boat. It is my girlfriends friends husband who has it. i just got off the phone with him, but no price was mentioned. he does not use it and it was sitting in his shed since he got it, dont even know why he has it because he is not in to that stuff. i just want to know approx how much should i offer. i dont want to seem cheap. i was thinking like 800 cash. let me know what you guys think. he says it is mint and that it runs.

Go to (AFA marine) site. And look at some of there motors or give them a call.Iv called them a couple of times for addvise.

I would offer 800 first if he turns his nose up play dummy and ask what he thinks its worth.

Don't know for sure, but if he is not using it and it has been sitting around for a while, I think $800 would be a good deal for both of you. I'd just be sure to do a test run with it.
