I've got everything ordered except my wire for the new trolling motor.

Is there any reason I'm missing that I shouldn't use the duplex wire?

From what I read it's the same wire internally as the battery cable wire and I like the idea of it being wrapped together with that pvc sheath so I don't have to use loom on it.

Has anyone used this to run from the back to the front for a trolling motor?

I wonder if it disintegrates in the sun or something?

Thanks for any input.

If its uv resistant it will say on the wire.

haven't bought it yet so can't read it.

I noticed your signature, lol I have a buddy who's favorite saying is " You can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning!"

 Great saying as well. For my wire a ran i ran two solid 6ga insulated wires to the front of the boat and put a bus bar for trolling motor, nav and bow lights, fish finder, and stereo in the future. Just tried to keep the wiring simple. One big fuse a the batery and fuses after the two buse bars. second bus bar in the back for bilge and livewell pumps and the anchor light. Mine are a UV resistant insulation and I also put any exposed wiring in one of those protective sleaves.

So I have a 30 transom mount minn kota that I need to wire from the back to the middle where the battery will be...plus I need to wire bow and stern lights as well as my sonar.

I know NOTHING about electrical wiring sizes. I was looking at some stuff online and it seems pretty expensive for just some wire. Any thoughts?

If it is the tinned stuff from genuinedealz.com, it is UV resistant, and very durable.

The insulation on the wire is fairly tough, but the PVC cover on the duplex is quite strong, yet stll very flexible.
