I have been a huge fan of the site for years, and just picked up my new project So I figured I would throw it on here and keep the helpful hints alive as well as gaining more knowledge. Picked up a 1970s Tin today with a super nice johnson 6hp, new optima blue top, 2 other d27 batteries, a Humminbird fishin buddy 110, and endura 55lb thrust transom mount motor. All for a price I couldn't refuse
Boat needs some love as well as the trailer, but over all a decent upgrade from my previous 12ft semi v project.
Plans before March 31st:
70lb Edge Bow mount TM
Strip, Paint, seal, repeat
Strip and paint Trailer - new tires / bearing buddies
Decks front to the center bench then covering rear bench as well as gas tank area
2 new batteries
Fishfinder w/ temp sensor (fishin buddy will be used strictly for ice fishing!)
and possibly trade/sell the 6hp for a 9.9.
