I recently picked up my first boat and it came with the above engine. I’ve been searching to try and find what the compression should be on this engine and have came up short. Can anyone tell me what it should be? Thanks in advance!

There is a general rule of thumb on compression numbers. Cylinders should be within 10% of each other on YOUR gauge. Manufacturers rarely ever state a number in service manuals due to the wide fluctuation in readings of various compression gauges.

It’s a single cylinder.

It’s a single Cylinder

Had to look up the engine. Single Cyl 5hp 2-stroke.
I would like to see around 75# or so. Anything above that is great.
5000rpm operating range.
I would imagine the engine will exhibit a bit of vibration being a single so be prepared if you haven't already run it.
