Complete 96 SmokerCraft Alaskan bench seat model package with 15HP 2 stroke Merc and galvanized trailer. Picked up at a garage sale for $1500. Came with lots of extras, including a 3/4 top, anchor system, 2 gas tanks, bumpers, nets, etc... The motor runs like a champ and starts on the 3rd or 4th pull everytime, runs out well and trolls down nicely. I have completely serviced it myself.
Started with removing the middle seat to create an open floor plan. Goal was to be able to better carry crab gear and bobber fish for fall Chinooks in the local rivers. Used marine grade plywood to create new floor space, stained with deck finish and covered with a plastic boat deck snap together mat. Plumbed in new fuel line so the gas tank can sit up front to help distribute the weight, as well as new wiring for a used FF/Chartplotter that I picked up. I used the mount by the previous owner for placement of that unit. Battery sits in the dry storage area in the bow, as well as other gear that needs to stay dry. Added Scotty rod holder mounts and some small anchor positions so I can bungie cord down different items if needed.
I have traded and/or sold a number of items that came with the boat to finance this project. I still have just $1500 into the whole package, so that has made the wife very happy. It's not pretty, but it is very fishy.
