Abu Garcia Black Max and St. Croix Mojo

I bought my boy an Abu Garcia Black Max ($40 on sale) and a St. Croix Mojo bass rod ($100). First impressions are that the Abu is a really nice reel for the price - way beyond my expectations for that price point. Sorry I can't say the same for the Mojo - it doesn't seem to be as well made as it should for the price. That's hard to say because I own a couple of other St. Croix rods and really like them.

I haven't used the Black max but have several Silver Maxx's and they are very good reals for someone on a budget. I like them as well as my BPS Extremes.

next time you are in northern wi, stop in park falls , there is a st criox store thet sell seconds half price . pretty darn good rods for seconds
