Has anybody used this for decking in a boat. Its rough but if you are covering with carpet, or painting with textured bedliner paint (like I am) it should be fine. Anybody else ever used it or know of someone who has. At 23.99 for a 3/4" x 4' x 8' sheet it sure sounds better than marine plywood.

I have not dealt with it in a marine environment, but I am a hardwood flooring installer so I deal with it frequently in new homes. If the house gets rained on before the shingles go on the edges of the advantech will swell quite a bit.

Do a search on it in this forum. I used "home advantage" which is Home Depots' version of it. Chavist has more experience than I do, but from what I read it's not supposed to swell at all. From what I remember reading, "Advantech" reps would go store to store giving little sales seminars and supposedly they had a piece that was submerged in water for a year and didn't swell or warp at all. Regardless of if it does when untreated, I coated mine with Spar Urethane and had it in the boat without carpet for a month or 2, and through rain and snow, nothing happened to it at all. I dig it a lot, I think mine is 21/32" which is a little thicker than necessary, but if you could find it in somewhere in 1/2", that may be a good bet.
