I am new to this site. After looking at all pics and projects that all the folks do, it has me thinking of doing a mod to my 14' Crestliner. Below is a picture of the same boat I have. I don't know the first thing about modifying a boat so I am looking for ideas and suggestions.
I know I would like to add a casting deck for sure. What would you guys do ?

Thanks!

Big subject that revolves entirely around your wants.

By mentioning a casting deck, I'd build either to the back of your front bench or possibly more depending on your plans for a front trolling motor and style of fishing you do most. I'd deep the deck height as close to bench height as possible for stability.

Make sure to check out all of the v-mods, and you'll get a real good idea on how to construct a casting deck.

Good luck!

If the boat is new to you, a few outings will be real helpful in identifying what is needed, as well as the best location for things like cleats, rod holders, anchor storage, FF and the like. Have fun!

Its not a new boat, I have it fitted the way I want it. A casting deck would be nice along with a live well.
