Bilge... Will this work?

Just wanting a second opinion on placement of bilge right here on the brace? I'm putting behind the driver seat (side console) about an inch off the bottom?
 
I out them as low as I can get and typically more towards the side it will exit, on the same side as shown, plus equipped with a float switch or one of the newer water-sensing switches.

That way, with me in the boat, I can tip further to the exit side and get out all I can.

Some boats might lean or heel the other way, depending on where the fuel are battery are stored. But even where you show placing it is fine ... but clean out that pine debris so as not to clog it up :wink:

Lol, that is the remnants from a day off heavy rain! Thanks for the opinion guys
