I'm looking to be painting my 14 ft jon boat and was wondering about your guys input on prep, paint, and drying it? I was going to use Parker's duck boat paint and only sand it before because the paint isn't chipping or anything.
Thanks

If the existing paint is not flaking off. Power wash, sand and prime any bare aluminum with a self etching primer then prime and paint.

I used Parker's and I am a satisfied customer. The only thing I would recommend is wipe with Acetone in between the "sanding and prime any bare aluminum with a self etching primer then prime" steps mentioned above. Removes any dirts and oils that may be hidden from normal visibility. Good Luck!
