Recently I've inherited a 12 foot Aluminum Jon Boat that belonged to my great grandmother, and great great grandmother(split owners at that time, and the best duo in NC). I'm thinking of posting the progress to keep track of what I do. I want to bring this back to life and then surprise my father with a trip on it's first launch.

It's a pre-1972 boat with no hin number, so it's been in the family awhile. I'm working on the beginning steps of restoring it to good condition, now that registration is finished. All in all it is solid, other than 2 small holes I have to weld in the hull (2 inch by 1/4 inch slits) and a small hole in the top of the transom I assume is from where a motor was once improperly mounted. I also have to replace a number of rivets along the port side, and replace 2 of the horizontal supports. Any tips/tricks, pictures of your build, or comments are appreciated
