The more I study this topic the more confused I'm getting. I was planning on using what I've read recommended on here by others; common building lumber and plywood treated with a water sealant. THEN I read a post saying that will only last 3-5 years. I want mine to last longer. So it's either Marine Grade plywood or aluminum for the decking, right? What about sheet fiberglass? Is this available anywhere? Where does one find sheet aluminum and how much does it cost?
What about the wood for the floor & deck framing?? Not sure what to use here.

I'm open to ideas and suggestions!! I would like my re-build to last at least 10 years if possible.

You can check out my mod.... I used aluminum framing and aluminum decking.... it will last the life of the boat, with the carpet changed out every few years.

As far as getting the materials.... check for local salvage yards, scrap yards, junk yards.... lots of the time they will help ya out, and sell it for its worth in weight, which is a lot cheaper than retail.
