Can you solder tinned wire?

I want to use tinned wire when I wire my jon boat. I've never used it before. Can I solder it just like regular wire. I like to solder my connections then cover them with shrink tube. Can anyone recommend a better procedure? Thanks Todd

I did my boat with tinned wire.No problems soldering.I used shrink wrap just like you're going to do.I did learn that not all shrink is the same.The shrink wrap that I get is quite thick.No name on the shrink wrap, sorry.Bought at an electrical store.
