capacity weight question

I have a smoker craft 1648 and i know it will hold a lot of weight but I know if i did as much modifications to mine as some of you do to yours....I'd have a darn nice boat that i couldn't fish in. I was wondering if you folks do anything to help offset some of the weight you add? I considered laying some foam insulation down between the ribs of the boat before i laid a floor in.

Damn Coast Guard is too conservative. I say do it anyway, my 1448 will hold way more than it says. I've tried it.

Good point, thats what I have boat insurance for. lol
