 7:15AM-1:30PM Calm turning breezy, Sunny, 76-82 water temps, 65-80 air temps, very stained water. 4 lm caught. Well the lake finally turned a beautiful green color. Worked the brush filled banks pitching a 3/8 oz jig/ chunk and got two within the first fifteen minutes. 1 1/2-2lbs. Both took the jig on the fall. Lost another soon after. Worked the spatter dock real hard with the jig and baby brush hog. Nothing. Then I ventured to deeper water near the spillway looking for schools of baitfish with my electronics. Found a school of something. Don't know what it was maybe crappie. Worked a DT-6 and DT-10 for a while with no luck. Broke out the 10" Powerbait worm and on the first cast something nailed it. Set the hook and nothing. Finally went back to the brush and got a bass on the jig. The fish just about inhaled it before the lure hit the water. Finished the day getting a small one on a baby Brush Hog in the brush. I was really surprised I didn't catch one out of the spatter dock because I really worked it hard and that's where my better fish usually come from.
