Cold Water...

Hit up the swamp pond for some duck scouting/line wetting. Couldn't catch any shiners for the live bait bite, and the 16 foot jon was 3/4 underwater from all the rain. I pulled the 10 footer over to the pond and fought the wind with a paddle for propulsion. I caught the pickerel where it's normally high and dry, and the crappie in deeper water. No bass or other bites.

Well at least you didn't get skunked. Water has been high around Santee area's and I haven't had alot of time to fish with work and getting ready for Christmas, but maybe I'll get to before the new year comes in.

I must admit that's the first squirrel hat I've seen. AWESOME!!
Too bad you didn't get a few more crappie for a good fry.
