I saw this boat on craigslist:
https://nh.craigslist.org/boa/1623012879.html

Would that be a decent investment for me? I fish mainly small ponds and some decent sized lakes. I can't have a boat trailer where I live, so I need something that I can put in the back of my truck. Any input would be appreciated.

I think it would be a good choice, as long as it fits in your truck, you should be good to go. The boat will certainly help make fishing more enjoyable for you.

If the hull is sound (no holes because I'm not sure how you would patch the plastic), that is a very good deal. It least it would be here in GA.

I have mine to fish small ponds that I can't get a trailer and jon boat into and I like it a lot. All I've done to mine is replace those so called seats with high back swivel seats and dropped in a solid carpeted floor.

Mine fits perfectly in the back of my Tacoma, which isn't exactly a large bed, so I would think it would fit.

If it DOES have a few hooles in it you can easily repair them. i repaired an old town canoe that was punched by a rock and it is still going. They have rivets especially for plastics (HDPE etc). A patch, some rivets and a little 5200 and you are good to go. You can can even use a heat gun to form it around a radius in the hull, pretty slick.

yup good price, looks like a newer one (compared to mine).

my buddy and i both have one, they are great. easy to handle we've put them on top jeep wranglers and vans suvs ect.. a pick-up would be easy :D

I've owned a crawdad since 1984. I replaced the seats with carpeted 1/2 plywood and a base for seats. A small wood and aluminum transom was added to the front for a trolling motor. This was my Electric Bass Circuit tournament boat for several years. The best thing about a crawdad is that you can slide it into any small lake, river, or stream that hasn't been pounded. You can fish a long time in comfort for little money. I'll never part with mine. Keep'er Wet, Dave
