I'm trying to figure out how to convert my transom mt. MotorGuide Varimax V55 to a digital remote control like pictured here https://www.creekboats.com/motors.htm# . I have the steering figured out but I'm having a hard time with the electrical motor control. I'm wondering if I pull the motor control and pot assembly from the TM and mount it in a panel near the seat or use a different set up altogether ?
