I bedded with butyl tape and went around the edges with G Flex with the silica added. It holds water now and seems quite strong. I bought a pneumatic hammer gun and rivets and bucked them with a small 3lbs mallet. I figure owning a 35 year old boat will require rivet repair as the life of the boat goes on anyways. I haven't gotten it in the water yet. I still have a lot of rotten wood to replace from the sole/floor, transom, and bench seat tops. I'll post a thread eventually in the mod/conversion section.
