I picked up the Eagle Fish Elite 640C online a while back for my bow to use for fishfinding and as a replacement for buoys (Based on the advice of Lanier Jim from GON fishing forum, a former guide and darn good fisherman.) and needed something on the console to act as a GPS and waypoint plotter while I'm driving.
Bass Pro had the Fish Elite 480 selling on a closeout today for $229.00. I thought this would make a good companion to the 640C, so I bought one to put on my console.
Does anyone know if there's an adapter to make the 2010 Navionics Maps compatible with the 480? I'd like to buy only one set of maps and not have to buy both the 2009 and 2010 versions.
Edit: Turns out both units use the 2009 version of Navionics Hotmaps. It is still carried by Navionics this year as their standard "Hotmaps" version. I can use this on either unit, but will have to buy two sets. Luckily, it's available from several sources for less than $90.00 each.
Problem solved and an FYI
