The very beginning. Used some leftover 2x4's ripped down and 2# of triple dipped deck screws to hold the frame/decking

I had to put a set of smart tabs on it to keep the nose down........this little thing flies! I haven't taken it over 35 and likely wont either.

I have the same exact boat, but Im not sure If I want to put a console in it or if I want to keep it as a tiller... now much room do you have in the boat after adding the console? Cramped with more than one person in the boat?

The steering console does take up a lot of real estate inside the hull so 2 is the limit and even that can get crowded if too much gear is above deck. wheel steering is a lot more comfortable to drive though. For 1 person it is perfect. if you're using a large motor, the wheel steering puts more weight forward so when you're alone, the bow doesnt rise as much and no porpoising.

gave up on getting the 55 running right, so I went out and bought a newer 40hp johnson off of craigslist. swap still in progress. pics and top speed achieved to be posted soon.
