This is a quick question about a paint job to an existing aluminum jon boat.

The boat I currently have is green in color. It doesn't leak, and is good to go. But I'd like to change the color.

Since the aluminum is in great shape, is it wise to sand down the boat, re-seal, and then primer and paint? Or can this be as easy as paint it and move on?

I'm a noob here but paint a good bit so I would say if the paint is sticking good now I would just wetsand that paint with say 400 don't cut through to the metal and paint it. Give the new paint something to adhere to.
