First bass(es) of 2009

Hit the creek this afternoon with my mind on trying to catch a few crappie on a smoked salt and pepper with blue flake finesse worm. I struck out on crappie but I was pleasantly surprised when I hooked and was able to land this fattie on a micro light with 4 lb test!! MAN WHAT A FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!! Mr Moo, see anything familiar in the pic :mrgreen: :mrgreen:



Joe and my niece Katelyn also made a special guest appearance but shortly after picking up this little guy, Kate told him it was time to go lol. If you look closely you'll see a peppered pearl JD grub on the hook of his jig!!!

Its warm, but with the wind blowing in the early afternoon it puts a nip in the air!!

You should just keep fishing for crappie - you catch better bass that way
