I know this has been covered so feel free to point me to older posts ( brand new to the forum ). My wife wants to fish and I need exercise so bought an older Valco 12-foot with trailer. ( planning to row it ) Two rivets under the front bench seat have slight leaks and you can see in the picture that where the seat attaches to the hull has pulled loose. So since we just moved up to NW Washington State and I have zero knowledge of local welding shops, I'm trying to decide between things like 5200, JB Weld, a West Marine epoxy kit, etc etc.
These images were set to 800 pixels wide by 600 high, but I couldn't post them with the image tags here.

I've never worked with rivets and have no gear for installing them. I know it isn't expensive and not rocket science, but I think I'm going to try Marine Tex Gluvit.

I would repair that brace and put all new rivets. You need that brace held down correctly

You are right, that needs to be fixed. I didn't look at the picture closely the first time. If you don't want to deal with rivets you can replace them with SS screw and nyloc nut. Drill out the rivets, coat screw with 5200 and tighten it up. You should be all set after that.
