Greetings gents'... This is the official build up from beginning to end of my first boat. It's a 12' Trailorboat Jon from the late 70's I believe. A parting ways between my ex and I prompted me to get busy and start a project, so why not something I wasn't familiar with?
Although it's now finished and worked amazing on the water, she goes up for sale at the end of the week. Without a vehicle to tow with and not having as much time as I anticipated, it's just not in the cards right now to have it. After college i'll no doubt pick another up.
First, thanks to the knowledgeable ones here for the tips, tricks, and information..it's doesn't go unnoticed by those new guys. =D>
Second, now that it's finished, in your opinions where should I start my asking price at?

FINALLY some photos for the thread. Hope ya'll enjoy 8)
The powerplant. 9.5 hp. Had it checked before dipping it in; runs likes a top and pushes the rig well.
Was a NEST before this, now only exposed part is the loom. Used solder and heat-shrink on all the wiring!
Miss the Chevy...this was before any work.
Trailer after rattle can etching primer and semi-flat x2
Where I started at...
Weapon + a heavy-duty drill bit that quickly made it onto the scene to remove all the inside wood.
Carnage - ALL RUSTED, NO SCREWING-ONLY DRILLING OUT!
After removal of everything and hitting the bottom with a wire brush attachment on the end of the drill.
Pretty amazing what cleaning tires and polishing wheels will do.
A shot of square tubing used to tie the sides together for support. 5 all together; 1 at each end and 3 in the middle about where the benches used to be.
Hit the ball with the wire wheel and sprayed the drop with undercoating. Lovely yeah?
Upper deck area all framed out.
Lower middle section taken care of.
Middle carpet done. Mocking up the front deck with sheets of construction paper.
Fish Finder project. Needed a way to mount, used a DIY on here for some inspiration, and here's the result. Wood chunk traced the shape of the FF base and sprayed. Bolt through the middle with double nuts on the bottom for easy removal!
The other end. Mounted up nicely here.
Rear deck with flush handles. The hole on the right is for driving position, the current spot the seats in is for rear fishing.
Battery area. Check the custom tie down haha. All the wiring is just under the front deck in the open area attached to the underside.
Hit the top edges with the wire wheel for a clean look. Carpet went on the sides nice, just trimmed the overhang off after the paste had dried.
Custom stopper. Used to use the old spare tire as a stopper. Spent some time at Lowe's and here is it.
Almost there. Those black holes in the front deck are the latch handles.
Bilge pump notch and exit. The wire is from the FF.
Doors open.
Nice big open deck. Very stable a little to my surprise.
Finally got the 3rd seat base in for the driving position and the rear carpeted.
and FINALLY after months, time, and lots of brain activity...Splash down!
Seat height for the front is perfect. Water was a bit choppy and being my first time on the water, of course I launched and was out there by myself...
Set a goal, work at it, and achieve it. Then relax and enjoy the view.
Thanks for lookin'...Now i'm back to bank casting until I can find a buddy with a boat!
