Stripersniper (todd) and myself made the trek to Brielle, NJ for a ride out on the Big J to get jiggy with the stripers

Slow start with only a few fish coming over the rails - Todd hooked up and .............................................. lost fish, bad knot

Kept at it and I missed a few fish that swiped and missed the hooks -

about 2 hours later: Todd hooked up and ...................... lost fish, bad knot #2

After seeing bass following the jigs but not biting I switched over to a tandem swimbait rig and BAM! Landed fish.......... good knot LOL

We had a blast, as soon as we got on the boat we saw this:

Talk about false advertising, I doubt that any fish ever feared this man despite the fact that he kept applying scent to his diamond jigs:

And as far as women loving hi - well you can make up your own mind about that

The inlet at dawn:

The famous "stacks"

And once the bite started things got crowded fast!

We stayed out for an extra few hours as the bite did not start until around 2 pm

According to Todd this was the highlight of the trip

Neat. I have to do that some day.
Presume you are bottom bouncing the jigs? Rich

Most of these fish took the jigs swimming them between 10-20 feet off teh bottom and all the way up.

We were using 6 oz Crocs and 6-8oz Diamond style AVA jigs
